3dii_traffic_calmingTraffic Calming System

DSJ Enterprises introduce a revolutionary time and cost saving traffic calming system. Comprising of kerbs and infill blocks, the system is installed directly onto the road surface, with minimum disruption and removing the need to excavate the existing road surface.

The versatile nature of the system allows for the creation of a wide range of highway features including islands, roundabouts, chicanes, build-outs, and gateways. The system is suitable for both permanent and temporary ‘experimental’ layouts, which can be easily moved or modified. Installation time can be cut by up to 80% and costs reduced by 40% compared to traditional methods.

The components are surface mounted to the existing road surface by simply gluing in place. With no need for time consuming excavation and reinstatement, the exceptionally fast installation results in a reduction in disruption to traffic flow.

The system is highly visible, yet attractive, with kerbs being concrete coloured for high visibility by day, and incorporating a rebate to accommodate an optional retro-reflective strip for night time visibility. For increased visibility, an Arianne bollard can be fitted over the infill blocks, which themselves incorporate a replica tarmacadam style surface to blend with existing footpaths.

With 6 kerb and 14 infill block variants available, it is possible to produce a wide range of standard and specific layouts. Once fitted, the system can be lifted and moved to allow various configurations to be tested for their effect on traffic flow. Cabling for lighting can be fitted into channels in the base of the system to eliminate the need for cutting the road surface, and blocks can be cut with a hand or bench saw meaning that special shapes and layouts can be achieved.

Manufactured from 95% recycled materials, the traffic calming system is also environmentally friendly.
