GRP Anti-Slip Products

DSJ supply anti-slip products which provide a quick, safe and effective solution to slippery pedestrian and vehicle traffic areas, where slips or falls are a potential hazard, for instance;

• work platforms
• footbridges
• walkways
• uneven concrete surfaces
• stairways
• workstations
• ramps
• loading bays

Fire Resistance

Gritted plate and stair nosing’s can be manufactured using either general purpose grade or Class 1 fire rated Isophthalic resin systems. However for the ultimate in fire resistance, phenolic resins can be incorporated, providing not only the best fire resistance of any known composite material, but they also produce virtually no toxic fumes or smoke in the event of a fire. GRP gritted panels and nosings are currently used in the London Underground network, and other high-risk applications such as refineries, chemical plant, and offshore installations.

Surface Profiles

Fine, medium, and coarse grades of fused alumina are used to give Grit Plate an anti-slip surface profile. Grit is applied at the ‘wet stage’ of production to make it an integral part of the GRP finished product.
